The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced on the 29th (local time) that it had struck and halted three oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement, the Revolutionary Guard warned, "Three oil tankers that continued to sail on dangerous and illegal routes in defiance of our warnings were struck and brought to a halt," adding, "We will never sit idly by and watch illegal U.S. intervention and coercion against vessels in the region."

It further emphasized, "The brave personnel of the Revolutionary Guard Navy will continue to maintain complete control over the Strait of Hormuz."
