U.S. President Donald Trump said on the 28th local time that talks with Iran are going well, while repeatedly threatening to blow up major infrastructure such as bridges and power plants if no agreement is reached.

In a phone interview with Fox News that morning, President Trump said, "Iran might say they didn't come out and discuss nuclear weapons, but that's all we're discussing because they will never have a nuclear weapon and they know that," adding, "And we've had very good conversations."

"I think we're in a very strong position right now," President Trump warned. "They (Iran) know that if they don't make a deal, I will (strike). Bridges will be gone literally in under an hour. Most of the bridges, the major bridges will be gone within two hours, and the power plants will be gone in a day."

"If I can avoid doing that, I'd like to do that. Power plants are the hardest things to build, and bridges take the longest to build," he said, renewing pressure on Iran to reach an agreement.

However, President Trump said he would not target Iran's seawater desalination plants, noting that residents would suffer.

Addressing reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would visit the White House that day to share intelligence on the situation unfolding at Iran's Pickaxe Mountain—a site threatened with attacks by President Trump—he expressed displeasure toward Prime Minister Netanyahu.

"Bibi doesn't need to tell me things like that. Bibi says that because he wants me to stay involved," President Trump said. "Why not just talk to me instead of broadcasting it to the entire world?"

Bibi is Prime Minister Netanyahu's nickname.

"I know exactly what is happening at Pickaxe Mountain. It's not a big deal," he added. "We have eliminated their nuclear facilities. If there's no deal, Pickaxe Mountain will have to be eliminated too."

Pickaxe Mountain is suspected to be Iran's new underground nuclear facility.

President Trump appears to perceive that Prime Minister Netanyahu, who does not want an end to the war, is waging a public relations campaign by emphasizing the need for additional strikes on Pickaxe Mountain.

President Trump also said, "Frankly, if I weren't U.S. president, Israel wouldn't exist today."

Regarding tariff policy, President Trump claimed, "It's unfortunate that the Supreme Court handed down a narrow defeat, forcing us to take a tougher path in less than an hour. Right now, I have other means to do the exact same thing, and while it's a bit more cumbersome, tariffs have brought wealth to the U.S."

After the U.S. Supreme Court ruled reciprocal tariffs illegal in February, the Trump administration recently finalized 'forced labor tariffs' on 60 economic entities following an investigation based on Section 301 of the Trade Act.

It is also investigating 'overproduction tariffs' on 16 economic entities.
