Seoul E-Land's 17-year-old forward Ahn Ju-wan set a new record for the youngest scorer in K League history last week. He has expressed his ambition to taste the joy of promotion alongside his father, who serves as a coach for the team.

Bypassing the defense in a counterattack situation and unleashing a powerful shot to score his K League debut goal is Seoul E-Land's forward Ahn Ju-wan.

At 17 years old, Ahn Ju-wan shaved three days off Park Seung-su's record set two years ago, writing a new chapter in K League history as its youngest goalscorer.

[Ahn Ju-wan / Seoul E-Land Forward : When (Park) Seung-su hyung scored, I was acting as a ball boy, and I thought to myself, 'When will I ever be able to do that?' It feels great that it actually happened to me.]

However, the person Ahn Ju-wan ran to and embraced on the bench was none other than his father, Coach Ahn Seong-nam.

[Ahn Seong-nam / Seoul E-Land Coach : Because I was thinking about how to manage the rest of the game, I couldn't express my joy too deeply, but I suppose I can give him a score of 70 to 80 out of 100.]

Born in 2009—the year Coach Ahn made his professional debut—Ahn Ju-wan grew up following his father around and nurturing his dream of becoming a football player.

[Ahn Seong-nam / Seoul E-Land Coach : (At his doljabi ceremony celebrating his first birthday, Ju-wan) grabbed both a football and money.]

He grew rapidly, winning top scorer awards in middle and high school tournaments and getting selected for age-group national teams, eventually joining Seoul E-Land this year, where his father works as a coach.

Ahn Ju-wan is now sprinting toward an even bigger goal alongside his father.
