On July 11, Japan's RV-X test vehicle rose vertically by 11 meters before descending vertically back down.

Although at different levels, both countries have taken a significant step closer to technologies for rocket booster recovery and reuse.
Of course, they still remain in a "super-gap" behind the United States, which possesses SpaceX.
