The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) and member sports federations stated that their operations are facing disruptions due to the prolonged restriction of access to their offices at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium, and requested cooperation from relevant authorities to normalize access and carry out essential duties.

The KSOC and its member federations held a joint press conference today (the 28th) at the National Assembly Communication Hall in cooperation with the office of Rebuilding Korea Party lawmaker Kim Jae-won to explain the widespread difficulties in sports administration caused by the handball stadium access restrictions and appealed for a swift normalization.

They stated, "We deeply agree that the National Assembly's parliamentary investigation into critical national issues must proceed without disruption, and we fully respect its necessity and purpose," while adding, "However, as office access restrictions continue long-term, member sports federations are finding it difficult to perform even basic duties."

They continued, "Essential IT equipment and administrative materials needed for our work remain inside the offices, causing major difficulties in carrying out essential tasks," adding, "In particular, concerns are rising over potential disruptions in preparations for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Summer Asian Games."

The member sports federations stated, "To ensure that public trust regarding the storage and management of ballot boxes and voting materials is not undermined and to prevent unnecessary misunderstandings, we ask for the cooperation of related institutions such as the National Assembly to allow office access and the retrieval of essential working items, subject to procedures with secured transparency."
