President Lee Jae-myung, who is making a state visit to Brazil, departed from the capital city of Brasilia and arrived in Sao Paulo on the 27th (local time).

On the following day, the 28th, President Lee is scheduled to hold a luncheon meeting with local Korean residents and attend the South Korea-Brazil Business Roundtable to explore ways to revitalize exchanges between businesses of both countries.

Attendees expected at the event include Ryu Jin, Chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries; Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group; Chang In-hwa, Chairman of POSCO; Cho Won-tae, Chairman of Korean Air; Park Seung-hee, President of Samsung Electronics; Ryu Jae-chul, CEO of LG Electronics; Lee Dong-hoon, CEO of SK Biopharm; Jung In-sub, President of Hanwha Ocean; Moon Jae-young, CEO of HD Construction Equipment (HD Hyundai); and Choi Soo-yeon, CEO of Naver.

Earlier in the day, following the South Korea-Brazil summit held in Brasilia, President Lee stated during a joint press briefing, "Brazil is a global powerhouse with key minerals, and we shared the consensus on the need to expand cooperation across the entire lifecycle of the critical mineral supply chain between enterprises and institutions of both countries."

Having noted that "we will expand cooperation not only in trade and investment, but also in defense, aerospace, critical minerals, and the digital economy," President Lee is expected to urge companies to increase mutual cooperation and investment with full support from both governments during the business roundtable.
