A man in his 50s has been apprehended by police on charges of murdering a woman at an officetel in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul.
Seoul Gangbuk Police Station announced today (July 28) that they urgently arrested a man in his 50s, identified as A, at 1:40 a.m. today on murder charges.
A is suspected of swinging a weapon at a woman in her 50s inside a room at an officetel in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu, causing her death.
Multiple weapons, including a hammer, were reportedly found at the scene.
So far, it has been determined that A and the victim were neither family members nor living together.
Police are investigating the specific circumstances, including their relationship and the motive for the crime.
A is reportedly refusing to cooperate with the investigation, remaining silent and not answering questions.
