The shooting incident at a weekend street festival in Seattle, U.S., has been found to involve three or more perpetrators, rather than the two initially reported.

One teenage suspect among them has been apprehended by police.

The Associated Press reported that Seattle police stated in court documents filed on July 27 (local time) that they have identified at least three suspects in the previous day's shooting at the "Bite of Seattle" street food festival venue.

Aside from the 15-year-old gunman arrested at the scene and at least one unidentified fugitive, police believe that one of the deceased individuals was also involved in the shootout at the time.

Around 6 p.m. on July 27, the final day of the three-day festival, a shootout broke out among the suspects, turning the scene into chaos.

At the time of the incident, two people died at the scene, and one died after being transported to the hospital, bringing the total death toll to three.

The victims were identified as a 44-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 56-year-old woman.

Police did not disclose which of them was the shooting suspect, but the deceased suspect was listed as an acquaintance of the arrested gunman.

Four people were also injured, including a two-year-old boy.

The mixed initial response from police and city authorities at the time of the incident also sparked controversy.

The Mayor of Seattle mistakenly announced that two people had been arrested, and it took police five hours after arresting one suspect to publicly disclose that another suspect was at large.

The fact that one of the shootout suspects had died was not mentioned at all until the court documents were released.

Held near the Space Needle in downtown Seattle, the Bite of Seattle is a large-scale annual event that has drawn approximately 350,000 visitors every year since 1982.
