First-generation punk rock band No Brain is gaining attention from global fans after BTS leader RM mentioned them in an overseas interview.

No Brain leader Lee Sung-woo posted on his social media on July 27, writing, "BTS's RM recommended us."

He expressed his astonishment, saying, "Never thought I'd see the day," and added, "RM has good taste." Lee concluded his post by asking fans, "Please listen to No Brain's music a lot, ARMY."

Previously, RM appeared in an interview video released on July 22 with British fashion designer Bella Freud, where he introduced the Korean punk scene. The interviewer mentioned the raw and tense musical style of Sonic Youth and Kim Gordon, and asked him to recommend a Korean artist with a similar vibe.

RM immediately named No Brain in response to the question.

With a laugh, he said, "Just mentioning the band's name conveys their unique feel."
