A fire broke out overnight at a detached house in Mokpo, South Jeolla Province, leaving a man in his 70s dead.

According to the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated City Fire Headquarters today (July 28), the fire broke out at around 11:30 PM yesterday at a detached house in Yongdang-dong, Mokpo, South Jeolla-Gwangju.

A man in his 70s who lived at the home was found dead following the blaze.

The fire was extinguished about two hours later at around 1:50 AM today, completely destroying the house.

Police and fire authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
