A taxi crashed into the exterior wall of an officetel building in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, at 1:09 AM today (July 28).

The crash resulted in the death of the taxi driver, a man in his 70s identified as A.

There were no passengers in the taxi at the time of the accident.

Prior to the crash, A's taxi reportedly rear-ended another vehicle on the road before accelerating toward the building.

Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
