The People Power Party's Central Ethics Committee announced that it has initiated disciplinary procedures against three lawmakers: Joo Kyung-tae, Jin Jong-oh, and Kwon Young-jin.

Six-term Representative Joo Kyung-tae was referred to the ethics committee on the grounds that he made phone calls to Democratic Party lawmakers and others asking them to vote against Representative Park Duk-hyum, who was selected through an intra-party primary as the ruling party's candidate for the National Assembly Vice Speaker allocated to the opposition.

First-term Representative Jin Jong-oh was referred to the ethics committee for supporting then-independent candidate Han Dong-hoon during the by-election for the Buk-gap constituency in Busan during the last general election.

Two-term Representative Kwon Young-jin sparked controversy after raising issues regarding standing committee assignments and grabbing Floor Leader Chung Jeom-sik by the collar.
