A shooting took place at a food festival in Seattle. The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. local time on the 26th at the Bite of Seattle food festival held near the Space Needle in Washington state, U.S.

The Bite of Seattle is an annual event that began in 1982 and is known to attract tens of thousands of visitors. A spokesperson for the Seattle Fire Department stated that two people died at the scene and five others, including a child, were injured, with one of the wounded in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses at the scene recounted the situation, saying, "Seven or eight gunshots rang out, and people started running in every direction."
