A shooting during a holiday street food festival in Seattle, U.S., has left three people dead and at least four others injured.

According to AP, AFP, and other news outlets, the shooting broke out at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, the 26th, at the "Bite of Seattle" event venue near the Space Needle in downtown Seattle, Washington, in the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Police believe that two gunmen exchanged fire with each other during the incident.

The festival site descended into chaos as the shooting began, and visitors evacuated to nearby museums and other locations.

"The shooter was right next to me," one witness said. "I rushed inside a building with other people."

The injured include a two-year-old boy, who was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police said they have arrested one suspect and are pursuing another, while urging residents to avoid the northwest area of downtown.

The shooting occurred on the final day of the three-day event.

The "Bite of Seattle" is an annual event that began in 1982. This year, hundreds of eateries participated, and attendance was estimated at 350,000 visitors.
