Golfer Shin Ji-eun has claimed a two-stroke victory at the LPGA Tour's Scottish Open in the United States. Following her maiden victory back in 2016, Shin shed tears of joy after capturing her second career title after a long 10-year wait.

Shin entered the final round comfortably with a five-stroke lead as the sole leader, but faced trouble as her shots were disrupted by the fierce Scottish winds and her putts repeatedly missed the cup.

After recording bogeys on three consecutive holes from the 6th to the 8th, she finished the front nine with her lead narrowed to just two strokes over the runner-up, but she did not waver any further.

She rebounded on the 10th hole by landing her second shot two meters from the pin to secure her first birdie.

Then, on the par-4 12th hole, she effectively sealed the victory by pulling four strokes ahead of second-place Kim A-lim with a flawless wedge shot that landed right next to the pin.

Though Shin dropped two strokes on the remaining holes, she protected her two-stroke lead to claim the top spot.

Celebrating her second career title 10 years after her first victory in 2016, Shin shed heavy tears amidst the congratulations of her peers. Meanwhile, South Korean women's golf extended its winning streak to three consecutive tournaments, following Yoo Hae-ran's back-to-back wins, bringing the total number of joint wins for the season to six.
