On July 27, Disney+ announced that "The Remarried Empress" is officially scheduled for release in the fall of 2026, alongside the striking release of a teaser poster capturing the commanding presence of Empress Navier.

"The Remarried Empress" is a romantic fantasy epic that unfolds when Navier (played by Shin Mina), the flawless empress of the Eastern Empire, is notified of a divorce by Emperor Sovieshu (played by Ju Ji-hoon), who has fallen for the runaway slave Rashta (played by Lee Seyoung). Refusing to simply accept the divorce, she instead demands approval for her remarriage to Prince Heinrey (played by Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom.

The series brings to life a legendary hit IP that has sparked a global syndrome, including the original webtoon which surpassed 2.97 billion cumulative views globally as of July 2026. It marks the very first K-romance fantasy presented by Disney+.

The newly released teaser poster immediately draws attention with Empress Navier standing proudly and alone in the middle of a solemn courtroom. Notably, the tagline featuring the original work's famous line, "I accept the divorce. And I request approval for my remarriage," strongly hints at Navier's resolute decision to forge her own independent path rather than crumble in the face of her husband's betrayal.

Set against the fictional royal backdrop of the Eastern Empire, "The Remarried Empress" is drawing intense anticipation for how actors such as Shin Mina, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Seyoung will visually bring to life this unique romantic fantasy universe intertwined with royal love, power, and ambition.
