Running Man: Yang Sechan and Kang Hoon Emerge as Embezzlers to Win the Race

The embezzlers emerged victorious in the race.

On the July 26 broadcast of SBS's Running Man, guests Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-jun, and Cha Woo-min appeared to participate in the "Targeting the Favorite Employee" race alongside the regular members.

During the episode, the members and guests competed in a race to collect as many gold bars as possible. However, the participants were shocked to learn that several safes had been looted by hidden embezzlers.

Upon hearing that two embezzlers were hiding among them, everyone immediately began suspecting one another.

Thirty minutes before the opening, two individuals had been given a secret embezzlement mission. Success would allow them to embezzle, while failure would expose their identities.

As a penalty for failing the mission, the contents of two safes were revealed: those randomly belonging to Kang Hoon and Jee Seokjin.

Kang Hoon's safe was completely empty, while Jee Seokjin's safe contained 11 gold bars. This immediately threw suspicion onto Jee Seokjin, who frantically protested his innocence.

Afterward, the production team gave the members one final chance to catch the embezzlers by spending five minutes searching for hidden clues scattered across the set.

The members uncovered clues such as "One of the embezzlers has filmed a thriller," "One of the embezzlers has won a rookie award," and "One of the embezzlers has a sister."

However, while everyone else was frantically searching for clues, Kang Hoon was actually hiding them, raising suspicion. He turned out to be one of the embezzlers.

After finding clues in an empty room, Kang Hoon hid them away. On his way out, he ran into Kim Jong-kook, who doubted Kang Hoon's claim that there were no clues left and began to suspect him.

Meanwhile, based on a clue found by Cha Woo-min stating that "the embezzlers belong to different occupational groups," the cast became convinced that the other embezzler, aside from Kang Hoon, was an entertainer.

Once the clue search concluded, the members and guests shared their findings to track down the embezzlers. Many pointed out clues strongly incriminating Kang Hoon.

The focus then shifted to identifying the second embezzler. Yu Jae-seok suspected HAHA, while HAHA suspected Yu Jae-seok.

The two explained their reasons for suspecting each other. With the deduction phase over, only the vote to find the embezzlers remained.

At that moment, Yu Jae-seok suddenly began suspecting Yang Sechan. Kim Jong-kook remarked, "Kang Hoon and Sechan don't really match," before joking, "Ah, are these two men who got dumped by Ji Ye-eun?" eliciting laughter.

Hearing this, Yang Sechan and Kang Hoon drew a line, protesting, "What do you mean dumped? We didn't get dumped. We rejected her."

After the voting concluded, the final suspects for the embezzlers were Kang Hoon and Yu Jae-seok. To secure a victory for Running Man, the team needed to correctly identify both embezzlers. However, while Kang Hoon was indeed an embezzler, Yu Jae-seok was not.

The actual second embezzler was Yang Sechan. Through flawless teamwork, Yang Sechan and Kang Hoon successfully pulled off the mission, with Yang Sechan secretly tracking down and disposing of clues pointing to himself.

In the race that ended in victory for the embezzlers, only Yu Jae-seok—who accurately guessed the identities of both embezzlers—won prizes alongside the culprits. Meanwhile, the remaining members and guests faced a water bomb punishment, drawing attention.
