Wall Street wrapped up the past week mixed.

The Federal Reserve is scheduled to hold a two-day FOMC meeting starting on the 28th.

Microsoft and Meta will report their earnings on the 29th, followed by the release of the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index for June on the 30th.

U.S. stock markets closed mixed late last week.

While the Nasdaq index fell 0.6%, the S&P 500 finished slightly higher.

This week features a series of major events, starting with durable goods orders data on Monday, the kickoff of the FOMC regular meeting on Tuesday, and the Fed's monetary policy decision in the early hours of Wednesday.

Market attention is expected to focus particularly on the press conference by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh scheduled for Wednesday, the 29th.

In addition, the Conference Board's July consumer confidence index and earnings reports from Coca-Cola and Boeing are scheduled for the 28th.

Key events become even more concentrated as the week moves into the middle.

Markets are on high alert for earnings announcements from Meta and Microsoft on the 29th, as well as Apple and Amazon on the 30th.

The preliminary reading for U.S. second-quarter GDP growth, to be released on the 30th, is also cited as a major indicator that will determine the direction of the stock market.

Ahead of monetary policy and key economic data releases, market eyes are also focused on big tech companies' aggressive AI-related investments and the verification of their profitability.

Coupled with reports that President Trump is considering additional military action against Iran and tariff-related issues, investor sentiment has shown a somewhat subdued trend.

This week is expected to be a crucial week that will determine the market's direction, as the Fed's monetary policy stance, big tech earnings, and key economic indicators intersect.
