Amid continuing heatwaves, a man in his 90s was found collapsed near a rice paddy in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, at around 9 p.m. on the 23rd.

The man, identified by his surname A, was transported to a hospital in unstable condition with impaired consciousness and respiration, but passed away yesterday (the 25th) after two days.

A's presumptive causes of death are reported to be heatstroke and multiple organ failure.

With A's death, the number of presumptive heat-related deaths in the Gyeongnam region has increased to two.
