A multi-vehicle collision involving six cars occurred near Nowon Station in Seoul at around 8:00 a.m. today (July 26), leaving a total of nine people injured.

According to the Nowon Police Station in Seoul, a passenger car driven by a woman in her 60s, identified as A, crashed into a vehicle waiting at a traffic light, setting off a chain reaction involving three cars in a row.

Police investigations revealed that driver A had also struck two other vehicles prior to the incident.

The vehicles involved in the accident included a neighborhood precinct patrol car.


The accident injured nine people in total, including two police officers aboard the patrol car, and eight of them were transported to the hospital.

Police stated that no signs of alcohol consumption or drug use were found in driver A.

A is reportedly claiming that the vehicle experienced sudden unintended acceleration.

Police plan to investigate the exact cause and details of the accident with driver A.
