You will need to prepare thoroughly for the heat today (July 26), the final weekend of July.

Tropical night advisories and heat wave advisories remain in effect for most regions. In particular, parts of South Jeolla and South Gyeongsang provinces, shown in dark black on the map, are currently under severe heat wave warnings.

Extreme heat is expected today, with temperatures in Gyeongju and Yangsan—both under severe warnings—surging up to 38°C (100°F). Residents in these areas are advised to refrain from outdoor activities.

Current temperatures are hovering above 25°C (77°F) in most areas, signaling another night of tropical conditions.

During the daytime, temperatures will climb to 33°C (91°F) in Seoul, 35°C (95°F) in Gwangju, and 37°C (99°F) in Daegu, bringing sweltering heat.

Meanwhile, intermittent showers are expected across various parts of the country today.

Rainfall will range between 5 and 50 mm, so it would be a good idea to bring a small umbrella when heading out.

Skies nationwide will be mostly clear today.

After showers in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province tomorrow, there will be no rain in the forecast for a while.

The intensity of the heat is set to grow even stronger.
