In the 1950s and 1960s, a tripartite structure was formed in Myeong-dong, Jongno, and Yeongdeungpo by Kim Doo-han's Jongno faction, Lee Hwa-ryong's Myeong-dong faction, and Lee Jung-jae's Dongdaemun faction.
Among them, a group of members of a violent organization calling themselves the Dongdaemun faction—stating that they would "succeed the spirit of Lee Jung-jae's Dongdaemun faction"—has been arrested.
Their own code of conduct was also revealed, including tattooing the organization's name on their bodies, addressing seniors as "hyungnim" (older brother/boss), and prohibiting smoking without the seniors' permission.
They made new recruits stay in a collective dormitory to memorize these rules, and the recruits thus trained were deployed like folding screens at organizational events and engaged in group fights with rival gangs.
The police explained the reason for their arrest, stating that "they are different from ordinary thugs."
We have summarized this in the video.
