Jeon Do-yeon·Sul Kyung-gu·Zo In-sung Head to Venice with 'Possible Love' in Competition

Possible Love (Photo=Getty Images Korea)Director Lee Chang-dong's new film "Possible Love" has been officially invited to the competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.

"Possible Love" depicts the story of two couples, a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary director and her husband, who meet through the production of a documentary and confront their different lives and hidden desires. Directed by Lee Chang-dong, who made "Green Fish", "Oasis", "Secret Sunshine", and "Burning", the film stars Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong.

This marks the first time in 24 years, since 2002 with "Oasis", that Director Lee Chang-dong has been invited to the competition section of the Venice International Film Festival. At the time, "Oasis" won a total of five awards, including the Director's Award and Moon Sori's Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best New Actress.

This year's film festival will be held from September 2 to 12 on Lido Island near Venice. In the competition section, Director Lee Chang-dong's "Possible Love" will compete for the Golden Lion, the grand prize. 

Director Lee Chang-dong and the actors plan to attend official events and press conferences held locally.

"Possible Love" will premiere worldwide at the Venice International Film Festival before meeting global viewers through Netflix.
