The United States carried out airstrikes against Iran for the 13th consecutive day on July 23, US Eastern Time.

The US Central Command posted on X, formerly Twitter, stating, "At 6:45 p.m. US Eastern Time (7:45 a.m. on the 24th Korean time, 2:15 a.m. on the 24th Iran time), we initiated additional nighttime airstrikes targeting Iranian military facilities."

It added, "This strike is part of an operation to hold Iran accountable and weaken the threats posed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to commercial vessels."

The strikes took place amid heightened tensions following statements by US President Donald Trump, who said he was "considering a massive attack on Iran, larger than ever before."
