The NC Dinos pushed the LG Twins deeper into a slump, powered by new foreign hitter Blaine Cream.

In an away game against the LG Twins in the 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League held at Jamsil Stadium, NC secured a 7-5 victory, driven by Blaine's four-RBI performance, which included a three-run home run.

Claiming their second consecutive win, the seventh-place NC narrowed the gap with the fifth-place Doosan Bears—whose game was canceled due to poor field conditions—to four games, keeping their postseason hopes alive.

NC opened the scoring in the top of the second inning following a single to left by Blaine Cream, a double by Park Kun-woo, and an infield groundout by Lee Woo-sung.

LG turned the game around 2-1 in the bottom of the second when Shin Min-jae delivered a two-run single.

Trailing, NC reclaimed the lead at 3-2 in the top of the fifth with one out and runners on second and third, thanks to a single to right by Kim Joo-won and a subsequent groundout by Park Min-woo.

In the ensuing attack, Blaine blasted a three-run homer over the right-field wall to extend the lead to 6-2.

Having joined NC as a replacement player on the 1st of last month, Blaine hit his first home run in his 11th appearance.

Mounting a counterattack, LG closed the gap to 6-4 in the bottom of the fifth with no outs and the bases loaded, as Oh Ji-hwan singled to right to drive in two runners.

However, NC regained a 7-4 advantage in the top of the seventh after a double by Kwon Hee-dong followed by a fortunate RBI single from Blaine.

In the bottom of the eighth with one out and the bases loaded, LG scored one run on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch by Moon Jeong-bin, but the next batter, Oh Ji-hwan, grounded into a double play, extinguishing their chance for a comeback.

NC's Blaine led the team's offense going 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs.

Despite recording 11 hits and drawing 12 walks and hit-by-pitches, LG managed only 5 runs and fell to their 7th consecutive defeat.

This marks LG's first 7-game losing streak in 2,217 days, since June 26, 2020.

At Sajik Stadium in Busan, the SSG Landers defeated the Lotte Giants 5-2 behind the stellar pitching of Kim Min-jun.

SSG drew first blood in the top of the first when leadoff hitter Jung Jun-jae singled to left, followed by a triple to right by Park Sung-han.

Adding another run in the second, SSG pulled ahead 3-0 in the top of the third when Kim Jae-hwan launched a solo home run over the right-field fence.

With this single blast, Kim Jae-hwan became the sixth player this season to hit a home run against all opposing teams.

SSG seized control of the game in the top of the eighth when Cho Hyung-woo hit a two-run double to stretch the lead to 5-0.

Lotte managed to salvage only two runs in the bottom of the ninth with a flurry of four hits.

SSG rookie pitcher Kim Min-jun picked up his 3rd win (2 losses) after shutting out Lotte through 6 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 5.

At Gocheok Sky Dome, where an extra-inning battle unfolded, the league-leading Samsung Lions edged out last-place Kiwoom Heroes 3-1.

In a tight pitching duel between starting pitchers Yang Chang-sub of Samsung and Ha Young-min of Kiwoom, Samsung broke the deadlock in the top of the third with one out and the bases loaded, as Lewin Díaz hit a sacrifice fly to left to take a 1-0 lead.

Trailing behind, Kiwoom tied the game 1-1 in the bottom of the eighth when Matt Davidson hammered a solo home run to left.

The game was decided in the 11th inning.

For Samsung, after Choi Hyeong-u singled to right and Díaz drew a walk, Ryu Ji-hyun executed a sacrifice bunt before Lee Jae-hyun drove in the go-ahead run with a deep sacrifice fly to right field.

Kim Young-woo then stepped up to the plate and delivered an RBI single up the middle, widening the gap to 3-1.

Improving their record to 55 wins, 34 losses, and 2 draws with a winning percentage of 0.618, Samsung widened their lead over the second-place KT wiz to 2.5 games.

Visiting Gwangju, the Hanwha Eagles defeated the KIA Tigers 9-3, tasting victory for the second straight day.

Hanwha opened the scoring in the top of the third with a double by Oh Jae-won and an RBI single by Yonathan Perlaza, followed by a two-run homer to right by Moon Hyun-bin to jump to a 3-0 lead.

In the top of the fourth, they capitalized on an opponent error and a double by Perlaza to add two more runs, pushing the score to 5-0.

KIA responded in the bottom of the fourth when Harold Castro hit a two-run home run to right to cut the deficit.

However, Hanwha padded their lead in the top of the sixth with an RBI single from Oh Jae-won and a sacrifice fly by Perlaza.

In the seventh, Lee Do-yun put the game out of reach with a two-run homer to right, making it 9-2.

KIA managed only a single run in the bottom of the ninth when Kim Min-gyu, who tripled, crossed home plate on a sacrifice fly by Park Jae-hyun.

Hanwha starting pitcher Wang Yen-cheng earned his 8th win (4 losses) of the season, holding KIA to 2 runs on 5 hits with 7 strikeouts over 7 innings.

Meanwhile, the Doosan-KT game scheduled to take place in Suwon was canceled due to poor field conditions.
