FC Seoul forward Jung Seung-won, currently leading the professional football league, has been on a scoring tear this month. He netted multiple goals yesterday (July 22), but running so hard left him struggling with severe leg cramps during his post-match interview.

Reporter Lee Jeong-Chan has the story.

Last night, Jung Seung-won's feet brought pure excitement.

With the score tied 1-1 against Pohang in the 24th minute of the second half, he rushed forward to score the decisive goal with his right foot, and then added a clinching goal with his left foot in the 43rd minute of the second half, thrilling the home fans.

Leading the team to a six-game unbeaten streak, Jung experienced another kind of jolt right before his Man of the Match interview.

Having poured everything out on the pitch, Jung regained his smile only after receiving emergency treatment for leg cramps.

[Jung Seung-won / FC Seoul Midfielder: Even with these cramps, I am so happy that we were able to win.]

Jung, who had not scored a single goal before the World Cup break, has exploded with form this month.

After opening the floodgates against Incheon on the 5th, which was the first match of the second half of the season, he fearlessly threw his body to hit the back of the net against Bucheon last weekend, and added multiple goals yesterday to rack up 4 goals in his last 4 matches.

With 3 of those goals serving as game-winners to solidify Seoul's solo-leading status, Jung is determined to keep this momentum going into the weekend match against Ulsan.

[Jung Seung-won / FC Seoul Midfielder: I like summer the most, and I try to enjoy it (even though it is tough).]

And keeping the promise he made when joining the team last year—

[Jung Seung-won / (Last year's joining interview): I want to say just one thing, I came here to win the championship.]

He vowed to achieve FC Seoul's 7th overall championship—matching his jersey number—this coming winter.

[Jung Seung-won / FC Seoul Midfielder: I did the celebration first because I want to put 7 stars on the badge, and if we keep winning like this, I think we can achieve the dream we have wanted.]
