Around 8:30 a.m. today (July 23), an explosion presumed to be caused by arson occurred at the management office of an apartment complex in Sadong, Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The accident left eight people, including residents, injured and transported to hospitals. Among them, three reportedly suffered severe, full-body burns and are in critical condition.

Police stated that the incident appeared to take place during a meeting between management office officials and residents to discuss issues such as apartment management regulations. A resident in their 70s who went to the management office carrying flammable materials and set the fire has been booked on arson charges.
