The Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) will announce today (July 23) the results of the preliminary elections to select candidates for party leader and supreme council member for the August 17 National Convention.
The DPK will reveal the preliminary election results at the National Assembly this afternoon, narrowing down the five party leader candidates—Chung Chung-rae, Kim Min-seok, Song Young-gil, Ko Min-jung, and Kim Bo-mi—to the final three who will advance to the main race.
Additionally, out of the 14 candidates running for supreme council member, only eight will qualify for the main race.
