Everland, operated by Samsung C&T's Resort Group, unveiled updates today (July 23) on the country's third naturally born baby panda, who has reached its 50th day of life.

Born to mother Ai Bao and father Le Bao at 10:53 a.m. on June 3 and living at Everland's Panda World, the female cub weighed a mere 171 grams at birth but has surged 13-fold to 2.3 kilograms.

Recently, the cub has opened both eyes, gained strength in its neck to support its head on its own, and begun shedding its fluffy baby coat, making the panda's signature black markings much more distinct.

It is also beginning to crawl on its belly while lying face down, increasingly taking on the appearance of a true panda.

The baby panda, alongside its mother, is receiving close care from Everland zookeepers and veterinarians, as well as a panda expert dispatched from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda.

Meanwhile, a public naming contest held across the company's online channels—including YouTube (Everland and Poopoo TV), Instagram, and the Zootopia Naver Cafe—from July 13 to 19 drew over 10,000 comments, generating an enthusiastic response.

Everland is currently reviewing the final selection method and announcement schedule for the baby panda's name based on the submitted candidates.
