A fire, presumed to have been caused by an explosion, broke out inside an apartment management office in Sadong, Gyeongsan-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The fire occurred at around 8:29 AM today.

Authorities have determined that a total of eight people have been injured in the accident so far.

It was reported that one of the severely injured victims is in critical condition.

Police stated that there are no fatalities reported so far.

Police also conveyed that the person suspected of committing arson was injured and transported to a hospital.

Among the injured are several elderly people who had gathered at the senior center connected to the management office.

Police and Gyeongsan City presume that the explosion occurred during a gathering of multiple apartment management office personnel.

It was reported that conflicts had previously existed between the apartment management office and some residents in the apartment where the accident occurred.

It is known that residents and management office personnel had gathered today to hold a meeting regarding management regulation issues.

One witness stated, "It appeared as though an explosion occurred after a person presumed to be an apartment resident entered the management office, sprayed a flammable substance, and set a fire."

Another witness recounted, "After several loud explosion sounds were heard, multiple people with their bodies on fire ran out of the building."

Police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning people who were at the scene at the time.
