The Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA) posted and subsequently deleted a link teasing a press conference for LeBron James' joining the team, which is one of the biggest points of interest ahead of the 2026-2027 season.

ESPN reported today (July 23) that the Miami Heat posted a live streaming reservation link on their official YouTube channel titled "LeBron James Introductory Press Conference," complete with a scheduled date of "July 27."

A team official explained, "While the relevant department was preparing for the possibility of James' signing, the link was mistakenly posted on the YouTube page."

The post has since been deleted.

Ahead of the new season, superstar James, who parted ways with the Los Angeles Lakers to become a free agent, has not yet revealed his next destination.

Miami is considered one of the potential landing spots for James, along with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Meanwhile, Rich Paul, James' manager, recently appeared on a podcast and said, "It has not been decided which team James will go to, and he will not rush the decision."
