Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament who led Iran's delegation in negotiations to end the war with the United States, has declared a hardline stance regarding crude oil exports and security in the strait.

On the 22nd (local time), Ghalibaf wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account, "The equation of this war is clear: it is either all or none."

He went on to warn, "In regions where we cannot sell our oil, no one else will be able to sell oil either," emphasizing that "if our security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe."

He also added, "Security in the strait can only be ensured when the U.S. military is not stationed there," and reiterated, "We have repeatedly stated that the situation in the strait will never return to the pre-war status."

As Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, the Houthis, an Iran-backed rebel group in Yemen, have also declared a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, raising growing concerns that navigation in the Red Sea, another vital energy transport route, will face disruptions.
