The Iranian government announced on the 22nd (local time) that 53 people have been killed so far in U.S. airstrikes.
Hossein Kermanshabour, head of public relations at the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, wrote on X, "As of today, 53 people have lost their lives and 592 others have been injured due to the U.S. military airstrikes."
Among the fatalities were 6 women and 3 minors under the age of 18, while the injured included 39 women and 23 minors.
Kermanshabour added, "Of the injured, 535 have finished treatment and been discharged, 36 remain hospitalized, and the remaining 21 received first aid at the scene."
