The defending champion LG Twins, who have fallen into a six-game losing streak in professional baseball for the first time in six years, have made a bold move by signing veteran pitcher Carlos Carrasco, who boasts 112 wins in the major leagues.

At 39 years old, Carrasco led the American League in wins with 18 victories in 2017. With 112 career major league wins, he boasts the most illustrious career among any foreign pitchers who have ever come to the KBO League.

This year, he made only eight relief appearances for Atlanta. Although his fastball velocity has dropped to a maximum of 150 km/h compared to his prime, he features a diverse mix of pitches and rarely issues walks, which is expected to bolster LG's starting rotation.

Carrasco is scheduled to arrive in the country this coming Friday.
