The French parliament has passed a bill banning teenagers under 15 from using social media.

Once the bill undergoes review by the Constitutional Council and takes effect, France will become the second country, following Australia, to legally restrict minors' access to social media.

Accordingly, starting in September, children under 15 in France will not be allowed to create new social media accounts, and platform operators will be required to close existing accounts and introduce age verification systems.
