An incident occurred in Thailand where an entire family nearly lost their lives after mistaking a rusty hand grenade brought home by their pet dog for a toy. A potential tragedy was averted thanks to the homeowner, who took a close look at the object upon returning home from a hospital visit.

Surprisingly, the object in question was a grenade with its safety pin still intact. The homeowner immediately notified the village head, who then reported the matter to the police and the explosive ordnance disposal team.

In an interview with the media, the homeowner expressed relief, saying, "I can't even imagine what would have happened to our family if the dog had pulled the safety pin or dropped it hard."
