A man covered in blood, handcuffed and thrashing about, rolls across the hallway floor as police officers and firefighters watch.

The man, subdued by police while completely naked, is 24-year-old Jung Jae-hwan, who is accused of brutally murdering his friend with a weapon.

Newly released footage captures the moment of arrest of murder suspect Jung Jae-hwan, following an incident that occurred at an apartment in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, in the early hours of the 4th.

The video was filmed at around 4:58 AM by a friend of the victim who rushed to the crime scene.

This friend went to the victim's home after receiving a phone call asking for help, but Jung was not at the scene at that time.

About five minutes later, Jung returned to the crime scene and appeared flustered upon seeing the friends. Only after the friends became angry at the dispatched police officers, demanding, "He is the culprit, why aren't you arresting him?", was Jung finally subdued at around 4:57 AM.


Immediately after the crime, Jung engaged in bizarre behavior, such as wandering into a convenience store naked and taking banana milk.

During this process, CCTV footage revealed that police officers who received a report from the convenience store at around 4:25 AM spotted Jung from inside their patrol car but did not immediately get out to arrest him, sparking controversy over a poor response.

Jung tested negative in a preliminary drug screening. According to police investigations, he stated regarding the crime, "I don't remember because I was drunk."

Because of this, speculations are rising that Jung may attempt to claim "diminished capacity" due to intoxication at the time of the crime in order to seek a reduced sentence.

Jung is accused of biting the face of the victim—with whom he was drinking in the early hours of the 4th—stabbing him multiple times to death, and attempting to desecrate the body.
