At around 7:11 AM today (July 22), a person in their 60s, identified as A, was thrown from a recycling collection vehicle and died at an intersection in Pungdeok-dong, Suncheon, South Jeolla Province.

Police believe the accident occurred when the driver's cab opened due to the vehicle suddenly braking or a similar movement.

Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, including whether the cab tilting mechanism, which tilts the entire driver's cab forward, functioned properly.
