The cities of Anseong and Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi Province issued landslide advisories around 6:00 a.m. today (July 22), urging residents to avoid dangerous areas near forests.
A landslide warning has been issued for Anseong, while a landslide advisory is in effect for Pyeongtaek.
As of 7:00 a.m. today, the cumulative rainfall has reached 149.5mm in Anseong and 175.5mm in Pyeongtaek.
In Anseong, 56.0mm of rain fell between 2:28 a.m. and 3:28 a.m. today, marking the highest hourly precipitation in the province.
The Korea Meteorological Administration has forecasted that an additional 10mm of rain per hour is expected in the Anseong and Pyeongtaek regions through this morning.
