Heavy monsoon rains will continue to affect the central regions today, July 22.
In particular, some areas in the southern part of Gyeonggi Province, southern Gangwon Province, and northern North Chungcheong Province are expected to see heavy rainfall from early morning through the morning hours.
These regions could receive an additional 80mm or more of rain, while other parts of the central region are expected to see up to 60mm.
There will be many intervals today where the rain eases.
Meanwhile, heat advisories have been expanded to most parts of the country, excluding the Seoul metropolitan area.
In these regions, the heat will be intense, with the perceived temperature exceeding 33°C (91°F).
Looking at the temperatures in detail, tropical nights are expected in most regions overnight.
Today, daytime temperatures will reach 30°C (86°F) in Seoul, 33°C (91°F) in Gangneung, and up to 35°C (95°F) in Daegu.
Monsoon rains are expected to continue intermittently, mainly in the central regions, through the weekend.
As the ground has already been weakened by significant rainfall, please take extra precautions to prevent additional damage from landslides.
