President Lee Jae-myung stated, "As a new society is unfolding beyond what we imagine, policies must also be implemented with unimaginable intensity and speed."

President Lee made the remarks today (the 21st) while presiding over a cabinet meeting at the Blue House, adding, "As the administration enters its second year, it is time to accelerate the pace of state affairs across the board."

President Lee noted, "While the artificial intelligence revolution is injecting new vitality into our economy, it is also rapidly growing the shadows of 'K-shaped polarization'." He ordered, "Please concentrate all policy capabilities in areas such as fiscal, tax, and financial sectors to alleviate this polarization."

Regarding public officials, he emphasized, "If the focus early in the term was on removing large stones, now is the time to remove medium and small stones. It will require more meticulous attention," adding, "Public officials must be diligent."

"Those who perform public duties must pay careful attention to how (their work) affects the lives of the people," he stressed.

President Lee remarked, "No policy or reform can succeed if it is detached from the lives of the people. Even when we hold public office or engage in politics, what is more important is the life of the people, who are the rightful owners of the power that entrusted us with it," adding, "The top priority is the lives of the people, that is, the public's livelihood."

President Lee also instructed public institutions to actively respond to requests for information disclosure.

Pointing out that some public institutions are delaying disclosure by using lawsuits or other means, he said, "The principle of the government is to disclose the administrative process. I hope we do not invite distrust due to such issues."
