ASML, the world's largest semiconductor equipment manufacturer based in the Netherlands, plans to provide a bonus worth 20,000 euros, or approximately 50 million won, to employees who remain with the company from 2027 to 2030, Reuters reported.

In an email statement, ASML stated that while the specific terms of the "conditional stock grant" program, which takes effect in January next year, are still being finalized, it will be offered to "all eligible employees."

This move aligns with recent trends among major semiconductor companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and TSMC, which are offering additional compensation to employees amid strong business performance and a shortage of skilled labor.

ASML, the company with the largest market capitalization in Europe, announced on July 15 that its second-quarter revenue reached 9.326 billion euros (approximately 15.9 trillion won), a 6.4% increase from the previous quarter.

Net profit was 2.918 billion euros (approximately 5 trillion won), up 5.8% from the previous quarter.

Both revenue and net profit exceeded market expectations.

ASML employs 44,500 people worldwide, with more than half based in the Netherlands and 8,500 working in the United States.
