The movie 'Hope' has maintained its position at the top of the box office for 6 consecutive days.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on July 21, 'Hope' drew 143,062 viewers nationwide on July 20, keeping its spot at the top of the box office. The cumulative number of viewers reached 2,272,733.

'Hope,' which was released on July 15, surpassed 1 million viewers in 3 days and 2 million in 5 days, and has continued its No. 1 streak into the weekdays of its second week. The number of viewers in the second week is crucial for reaching the break-even point (approximately 7 million viewers). This is because the competing film 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is set to be released on July 29. Currently, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is ahead of 'Hope' in pre-sale rates and ticket reservation rankings.

'Hope' tells the story of Beom-seok (Hwang Jung-min), the head of the Hopohang branch in the Demilitarized Zone, who faces an unbelievable reality as the entire village falls into chaos after hearing reports from local youths that a tiger has appeared. The film stars Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, and Jung Ho-yeon.
