An official at an election commission office in Incheon has been found dead, prompting a police investigation.

According to police and other sources on Tuesday (July 21), a colleague discovered the official, a man in his 50s identified as A, collapsed at an election commission office in Incheon at 11:10 a.m. the previous day and reported it to 119.

At the time, the colleague reported, "Someone has collapsed and is unconscious."

A was already deceased when discovered, and it is reported that he left a suicide note.

Police stated they do not suspect foul play and are currently investigating the exact cause and circumstances of A's death.
