[Anchor] Are you saying a man who was given a door code to view a property went inside and searched through the place?

[Reporter] Yes. A man in his 30s, identified as A, contacted a woman, B, in September of last year after seeing a listing for a studio apartment in Siheung on a real estate direct-transaction app.

B, who was away from home at the time, gave him the front door password over the phone.

While inside the home and speaking with B on the phone to hear details about the property, A was asked not to touch any of her belongings.

However, investigations revealed that he ignored this request, searched the home, found her underwear, and even entered the bathroom.

B, who suffered mental distress, petitioned for strict punishment against A.

Taking into account that the defendant was a first-time offender and that his mother pleaded for leniency, the court sentenced him to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered 80 hours of community service.
