The Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB) have bolstered their bullpen by acquiring 'hard-throwing' relief pitcher Seth Halverson (26) through a trade.

The Associated Press reported that the Dodgers acquired the right-handed pitcher Halverson from the Colorado Rockies.

In exchange for Halverson, the Dodgers sent outfielder Landin Vidourek and right-handed pitcher Nick Frasso to Colorado.

Halverson, who was selected by Colorado in the 7th round of the 2023 amateur draft, has recorded 3 wins, 4 losses, 13 saves, and a 4.31 ERA in 75 career big-league games.

He recorded 11 saves as a closer last year, but has struggled this season with a 0-1 record and a 4.74 ERA in 21 games.

Earlier this month, he was placed on the 15-day injured list (IL) due to right shoulder inflammation and had begun rehab appearances with the Albuquerque Isotopes, Colorado's Triple-A affiliate.

While his fastball, which reaches speeds exceeding 161 km/h (100 mph), is his strength, his control is considered a weakness.

Over three seasons, Halverson has issued 38 walks while pitching 71 innings.
