[Anchor] Did an elementary school student really play a major role in solving a voice phishing case?

[Reporter] Yes, this happened at a train station in Daegu.

Bae Ri-yu, who works as a child actor in musicals, was using a storage locker with her mother at a train station in Daegu for a performance on June 20, when she spotted a black plastic bag left to one side.

Feeling that something was wrong, Bae urged her mother, saying, "We need to report this to the police right away." Inside the bag, they found 45 million won in 50,000-won bills.

A police investigation confirmed that the money was from a voice phishing scam, and the report helped police successfully identify a suspect.

The police presented Bae with a certificate of appreciation and a reward for reporting the crime.
