Making his third appearance since his big league debut, he lowered his season ERA to 3.00.
Go, who allowed 1 run in 1 inning during his debut against the Cleveland Guardians on July 10 and pitched a scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Angels on July 12, returned to the mound after 8 days.
Facing his first batter, Justin Dean, he struggled with his command and allowed a walk, but he then struck out Michael Conforto swinging with a slider.
However, he gave up consecutive singles to Michael Busch and Alex Bregman, finding himself in a one-out, bases-loaded jam.
Regaining his composure, Go struck out Kevin Alcantara swinging on three pitches and then induced an infield ground ball from Nico Hoerner to end the inning.
The Cubs won the game decisively, 10 to 1.
