People Power Party Representative Jang Dong-hyuk, who attends the daily protests at Olympic Park, has reiterated his call for a special counsel investigation into the National Election Commission (NEC) over the incident involving a shortage of ballot papers.
Representative Jang wrote on his social media today (July 19), "On Constitution Day, July 17, countless young people and citizens gathered at Olympic Park to call for a special counsel probe and a re-election," adding, "Neither the scorching heat nor the holiday weekend could dampen the fervor of the resistance at Olympic Park."
He continued, "The Constitution of the Republic of Korea has collapsed. Citizens have even been deprived of their right to a single vote," and asked, "If we cannot stop the destruction of the Constitution and cannot even protect the single vote of a citizen, is there any reason for such politics to exist?"
Representative Jang emphasized, "We must conduct a special counsel investigation as soon as possible," and added, "We must uncover the truth through an unlimited special counsel probe recommended by the People Power Party."
He further stated, "I will fight alongside you until the end," and added, "I will ensure that this pure will is carried out."
