AI startup Anthropic is in discussions with Meta to lease computing resources, following a similar deal with SpaceX.

Last month, Anthropic proposed a deal to lease data center computing resources from Meta for up to $10 billion (approximately 15 trillion won) over two years, and Meta is currently reviewing the proposal.

The agreement includes provisions for monthly installment payments and a clause allowing either party to terminate the contract early if desired.

The negotiations are reportedly in the early stages.

In May, Anthropic signed a contract to lease 300 megawatts (MW) of computing capacity from the Colossus 1 data center in Memphis, Tennessee, owned by SpaceX's AI subsidiary xAI, for $45 billion (approximately 67 trillion won) over three years.

Additionally, the company recently entered into a 20-year data center lease agreement with AI infrastructure operator TeraWulf.
